Empirical Research On Core Competition Of Railway Transportation Enterprise

As the backbone in the comprehensive transportation system in China, railway is an indispensable department in the national economic development. With the steady improvement of China's socialist market economy system and China's entry into WTO, railway transportation is bound to make a full entry into the market. Railway transportation enterprise has faced challenges of how to provide good service to meet the demand of the logistic development at home and how to compete against other ways of transportation and other transportation enterprises abroad. The railway transportation system which has been long sheltered by the monopoly policy has to consistently raise its core competition in order to keep its feet in the market economy and be more equipped for the threats both home and abroad. Having the deep-seated enterprise competition in mind, the theory of core competition in enterprises exposes the basic method of how to keep the competitive power in enterprise and is highly valued by the researchers both home and abroad. It provides the basis for the development of enterprises. This article took advantage of the core competition theory, analyzed the problems in the railway transportation and explored how to develop its core competition in order to take a favorable place in the future competition.This article introduced the concept of enterprise core competition and its relevant theories. On the basis of the analysis of the railway transportation competition in China, it figured out the index of enterprise core competition and set up the index evaluation system. And with an enterprise as an example, the article applied fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to systematically evaluate the core competition index in railway transportation enterprises, and drew an evaluation conclusion. On the basis of the conclusion, policies and suggestions were put forward in order to raise the core competition of railway transportation enterprise. Hopefully, the result will guide the practical management of the railway transportation enterprises.
