A Study On Qingdao International Convention Center's Development Model

The MICE, which is called"rising industry"in China, competes increasingly intense today after almost ten years rapid development. The exhibition center in different cities also meets a lot of problems in development process. Many city governments pay highly attention to the issue on exhibition center's development, accordingly many places have accumulate the advanced experience through years of development. However, there is still less systematic study on exhibition centers'development model, so it reveals important values of the theory and application on this study. This text analyses the internal condition, external environment and business effect of Qingdao International Convention Center(QICC) where the author works at, deeply analyses main problems and difficulties QICC meets when facing the good development opportunity in the new period, sums up and studies the reasons, timely proposes two concepts of"administration service style"and"marketing management style"according to nowadays exhibition centers'development trend in China, puts forward the author's own view on transforming the lower level"administration service style"to the higher level"marketing management style"combining with the concrete case of QICC on how to face the intense competition and change the internal condition and how to create the scientific, advanced and effective management system. The author tries his best to make a bit contribution to the reform of exhibition center and the study of the exhibition and convention industry development in China and hopes this text could be one of the theoretical basis in promoting exhibition and economy development harmoniously.
