Research On The Relationship Between Employment Structure And Economic Growth In Zhejiang Province

Since the economic reformation in China, the economy of Zhejiang province has improved distinctly, and now Zhejiang becomes one of the most energetic and developed provinces in China. At present the structural contradiction (dual structure, employment structure) is main contradiction of economic development in Zhejiang province. In 1970s, Chenery concluded with empirical analysis that the industry structure transfered before the employment structure in developing countries, so the change of the employment structure index could factually reflect the real change of industry structure. Zhejiang province is the district that has superfluous labor supply, so the development of the economy and the adjustment of the structure would affect the employment, while whether the employment structure is reasonable or in other words, whether the collocation of labor is efficient, could affect the economic growth. It is obvious that how to promote the conversion of the employment structure to make the economy develop harmoniously is a big and significative problem.This essay utilizes normative analysis,empirical analysis and comparative analysis, analyses the factors which affect the employment structure, the character and deficiencies of the employment structure of Zhejiang province, the internal relation between the employment structure and the economic growth, the relation between the employment structure and the industry structure and the contribute to growth of economy. Finally, bring forward the countermeasure and advice to improve the employment structure.
