| Since the beginning of reform and opening up, with the Jincheng city sustained and rapid economic development, urbanization, mobility and development of market all progress rapidly. Urban transportation intensification of the contradictions of supply and demand, traffic congestion, pollution and other external issues has become increasingly prominent. It has become an inevitable requirement of Jincheng to enhance public transport travel rate for sustainable development. How to achieve sustainable development of the urban public transportation has become a focus of public attention.This paper first describes the relationship between urban public transportation and urban traffic, puts forward the definition and content of public transport for sustainable development, analyzes the factors of restraining the development of public transport, and studies the security system and technical measures to promote sustainable development of public transport. Meanwhile, by drawing on experience in the development of foreign city public transport, urban public transport strategy and measures for promoting sustainable development have been put forward on the basis of field investigation of Jincheng city. The paper points out that currently the integrated public transport system of Jincheng city hasn't formed yet, public transport services need to be improved, bus lines need to be optimized, and bus priority external environment has not yet formed. Finally, under the situation of economic and social development in Jincheng city and the direction of urban land development, some countermeasure and suggestions to promote sustainable development of public transport have been brought forward, such as, the implementation of policy of giving priority to the development of public transport, private traffic control, the utilization of advanced technology to strengthen the management of public transportation, the use of environmentally friendly vehicles, and the development of green bus. |
