Study On Automobile Industrial Cluster Of Chongqing

In 2007, the amount of automobile yield of Chongqing exceeded 1,000,000 and back the huge yield is an automobile industrial cluster which is increasing perfectly and becoming more and more scalable. But, how did this cluster develop? Why did it develop? What policy should the government to draw up? These problems are the purposes of our research. Our research's main mission is to analysis main factors which keep this cluster competitive and provide some suggestions for the government and business enterprises of Chongqing.The industrial cluster theory that Michael E.Porter put forward is challenging Traditional comparative advantage theory. And his theory provoked strong worldwide reactions. In Porter's book The Competitive Advantage of Nation, he systematically elaborated industrial cluster theory (including the reason, the development and the decline) and the diamond system theory.Exactly, our research bases on the Porter's industrial cluster theory and diamond system theory. The results of our research are raised by analysis the formation, development (include the most completed summarize of the history of enterprise in Chongqing automobile industrial cluster) and the embody degree of diamond system factors of the cluster.In Chapter 1, we elaborate our research on related concept and to put forward problem and the background of this reserch. In chapter 2, we mainly discuss the theory foundation. In chapter 3 to 4, we carry on analysis on the present situation, development process, the main component parts of diamond system and the key problem of the cluster. The conclusion part of this thesis is chapter 5 which give a summary and put forward some suggestions.Our research has been keeping on for more than one year, and we find out that the automobile industry of Chongqing shows a group of outstanding characteristics of industrial cluster. Since 50's in 20 centuries, this cluster experienced a complicated reorganization, merger process, and in this process the opportunity and the challenge keep both, and exactly this process makes Chongqing automobile industrial cluster emerge and develop. But we also discover that the diamond system factors of this cluster haven't been embodied completely. So it is necessary for the enterprises and related governmental agencies to formulate relevant policy and strategy.
