| The iron mining industry is a pillar industry for the national economic construction. As the demand of steel increases progressively, a foundation is supported for the development of steel industry. The competition between the iron and steel enterprises changes the environment just because of the sparsity of natural resources. Therefore, the metallurgical iron ore enterprise should seize the good opportunity and adopt the selecting model.It is well known that the process of integration developed quickly in the global economy, and foreign iron ore enterprises mainly rely on several factors, including resources, technology, management, scale advantage in the whole market. In view of this, the domestic iron ore nterprises should adopt the selecting model, which is quality management systems and 6σmanagement, to improve enterprise's quality level and management level, so that they can get one seat in the fierce competition. This text is intended for studying how to combine various kinds of quality office procedures in order to creat an intact mode, in other words, to create the management model of triangular quality, which can realize the strategic objective straightforward and keep the management scheme favourably in the intense market competition forever.The content of this text is divided into three major parts. Firstly, it introduces different stages for the development of quality control all round through the overview of domestic and international quality control and analyzing the current situation of the development and trend of metallurgical iron ore trade. It also has expounded the circumstances in which the enterprises pursue the management mode of triangular quality. Secondly, it describes the application of eight principles of quality control in detail by means of the management system of quality. Certainly, 6σmanagement and quality culture is considered at each stages. Finally, taking the implementation of triangular quality management in a northern limited company of mining industry for example, it has taken the quality management systems, applied 6σmanagement, and constructed quality culture.
