Cruise tourism has been the largest growth business of the international tourism, and it often can be the economic growth of the port city. The cruise economy pulled up by the development of cruise could have a profound impact on the local city, surrounding areas and even the whole country. Some of the port cities of our country have the advantages of developing cruise economy, Xiamen is one of them. Since the reform and opening of special economic zone, there has been the sources of Xiamen and international cruise, Xiamen has the ascendant location, excellent port condition, rich tourism resources and convenient transport environment, and the "three direct links" between the two sides is the general situation,. The government of Xiamen also paid great attention and support on policy, and the international cruise terminal in construction was rapidly taking shape. In 2007, Xiamen International Cruise Center began operating.This thesis first analyses the stage of the development of Xiamen cruise economy and the status of the chain of the world cruise industry by introducing the condition of cruise, cruise industry and cruise economy. Next forecast the number of visitors by the method of third exponential smoothing, and analyses the development of cruise economy of Xiamen port. Then analyses the cruise economy of Xiamen port by SWOT method. At last learn from the successful experiences and consider the condition of Xiamen port, then put forward the executive plan of developing cruise industry of Xiamen port, in order to give some references to the government, ports, and investment-related business units, but also for my work to promote.
