A Research On The Relationship Between The Diversification Of Households' Livelihood And The Land Sustainable Use

The issue of rural area,agriculture and farmers is always a overall and fundamental problem which is related with the people's livelihood and the success or failure of the socialism cause,but also,has been a hot issue which is concerned by Chinese scholars.But many of these studies focus on one aspect,seldom have to explore linking the three.With the further promote building of the new socialist countryside and the depth study of the people's livelihood,the first-hand data becomes more and more important for studying the relations between household's livelihood and the rural land use status which are the more concrete relationship between people and land.Based on this purpose,this paper has selected the typical area to research,and wishes to provide certain reference for the research on the relationship between people and land in residential area.The livelihood is fundamental for farmer's survival and land is the indemnity of farmer's survival,and both are indispensable part of the problem of rural area,agriculture and farmers.This article is a research about households' livelihood diversity and land-use,which takes 185 peasants in four villages which is separately part of Yunyang County and Youyang County in Chongqing as studying samples.According to the local households' livelihood and land use,the article summarizes the relationship between households' livelihood diversity and land sustainable use.At first,the article introduces the background,purpose and meaning of the theme,and the domestic and foreign research development.Then it reviews the reason why choosing the target area, the data origin,the research methods,and the technical route and summarizes the theory of sustainable development,the theory of sustainable livelihood and the person-land coordinated theory, and points out the guiding sense of various theories.Then the article mainly analysis the investigation data about the households' diversification livelihood and the condition of land use. Based on the analysis,the article further studied the influences of the households' livelihood multiplicity to the land use further and the influences of the land use to the farmer livelihood multiplicity.This article draws following conclusion through the above research:(1) The unreasonable structure of land use impacts on the sustainable development of households' livelihood.Extensive mode of production and backward technology have tied the workforce to select the diversification of livelihood;lacking of agricultural infrastructure is restricting the selection of households livelihoods;the implementation of returning farmland to forest provided farmers for the ways to diversity livelihood.(2) The uneven distribution of the capital of households' livelihood effects on the sustainable of land use.The scale of land management has determined the all aspects of land input;the more households' livelihood sorts,the stronger their ability to resist risks;according to their different needs,different farmers will choose to plant different crops.The allocation and utilization of livelihood's capital,such as labor,capital,natural resources,etc.affect the sustainable of land use.(3) For the lack of forward-looking,the original land-use planning is no longer adapted to the needs of society.Land use planning is leading in the process of land-use.Once determined the use, size,location of land,it is difficult to change.With the development of social and economic,the households' livelihood is becoming more and more diversified.The original land-use planning has been not meeting the livelihood needs of households.Through the scientific and rational planning,in order to promote the needs of peasant life and land use to coordinated development.(4) The multiplicity livelihood and land use both promotes and restrict each other.Scientific land-use way can contribute to the diversify of households' livelihood,and the diversification livelihood can also promote land-use to become more rationalized;lag in land-use way hindered the process of diversification of households' livelihoods,the inherent and single livelihood can also constrain land-use sustainable development.
