Strategy Research Of Development Of Anhui Telecom Company

Enterprise development strategy is the holistic, long-term, fundamental strategy on enterprise development, which is extremely important for the development of a modern enterprise. At present, China's communications industry has undergone tremendous changes, which have a very far-reaching impact on the survival and development of Anhui Telecom. The operating system of Anhui Telecom would collapse and disintegrate if it continues to follow the old management idea and management system, and without a very good use of strategic management theory to guide its development. Anhui Telecom can not live a healthy and sustained development but actively adapt to changes in the external environment, seize opportunities, and make appropriate development strategies.Based on Porter's strategic management theory as the theoretical basis, the current external environment and internal environment of Anhui Telecom are analyzed by means of both PEST and SWOT. Then it is pointed out that the current core competency of Anhui Telecom is its superiority of network resources and channels. And the aim of its development strategy is proposed, which is to be a leading integrated information service provider in Anhui Province based on the next generation of communication networks. In order to achieve this strategic objective, the development strategy of Anhui Telecom should select the leading strategy. That is to say, Anhui Telecom should be leading in network facilities, innovation of business model between its horizontal and vertical cooperation, product integration and its market share. Finally, to ensure implementation of the leading strategy of Anhui Telecom, some major strategic measures are proposed, which include optimizing and innovating networks by the use of new technologies, constructing and improving the market channels, and strengthening the relationships with other economies.
