Research On The Evaluation Model Of The Strategic Partners Of Knowledge Alliance

Knowledge alliance is one kind of strategic alliances, which creates new knowledge together and transfers knowledge, thus promotes core competitive ability of the enterprises by means to an enterprise and another enterprise or other organizations forming an alliance.Although the knowledge alliance has provided one "win-win" opportunity for all partners, its failure rate stays at a high level actually, whose primary cause concerns with the partner selection. The partner selecting is most important and first part in process of construction of the knowledge alliance, whose importance is self-evident.This article has studied how to scientifically appraise and select the partners of knowledge alliance. The article has firstly expatiated the background and significance of the research. Then after retrieving and reading massive related literatures, I give out a meta-analysis to the relative theories of knowledge alliance and the partner selecting of other alliances as well as the partner selection of knowledge alliance.Under the instruction of the theories, the article elaborated the appraisal system of knowledge alliance partners, including: Partner enterprise's appraisal principle, appraisal steps, appraisal indices system and appraisal method and so on. The construction of the indices system is the most important part of the article and involves a large quantity of content. The main idea is using the Delphi method and the questionnaire survey method and the SPSS analytic method to construct an appraisal indices system, which is more comprehensive than former indices system and attaching more importance to soft indices than before. The article has carried on the summary to the former mathematics method and carried on a contrast analysis, choosing one more objective more scientific method——Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy method to appraise the potential partners of knowledge alliance. The article finally confirms this appraisal system using the HW Corporation's case, resulting in that the appraisal effect is good.
