Therefore, how to choose the right technology alliance partners to achieve better knowledge transfer in alliance, to ensure the stability of alliance, and to enhance alliance’s performance has become a major concern in theorists and practitioners. In this paper, we defined the concept of the technology alliance, alliance knowledge transfer and technology alliance partner, then by sorting out the relevant theory and literature on alliance knowledge transfer and alliance partner selection, and analyzesing the requiring of knowledge on alliance partner selection. Combining the literature analysis and enterprises research, we extracted the main factors of technology alliance partner selection which based on knowledge transfer contain the reputation of alliance partners, compatibility, the stock of knowledge, knowledge transfer’s ability, commitment, and knowledge transfer willingness which were classified as individual and relationship of alliance partner. On the basis of these, we held the view that choose the technology alliance performance can measure the effect of technology alliance partner selection more objectively and comprehensive; and selected the technology alliance control as the manipulated variable between alliance partnership factors and the alliance performance, then presented a conceptual model. And then analyzed the relationship of each variable in detail, proposed the corresponding hypotheses, and formed the final empirical model. Finally, we tested the proposed hypotheses and theoretical models through analyzing the reliability and validity of the questionnaire, based on the valid data, using structural equation model. The empirical results show that the reputation of alliance partners, compatibility, knowledge transfer’s ability, commitment, and knowledge transfer have a significant impact on technology alliance performance directly; the stock of knowledge have a significant impact on technology alliance performance indirectly; technology alliance control has significant moderation effect on the relations between commitment and technology alliance performance, knowledge transfer willingness and technology alliance performance, the stock of knowledge and knowledge transfer willingness.
