Study On The Contribution Of Highway Transportation To Regional Economic Development

Transportation has been regarded as the national economic lifeline, it will greatly promote the development of the social economy. The society's development is inseparable from the transport infrastructure. Xianyang - as an important transportation conjunction in western part of China, the development of transportation has made important contributions in the process of economic development. The paper studies the function which the transportation has made in Xianyang's economic development, and also made an empirical research.Firstly, from the relationship between development of economic and highway transportation, a series of theories of economic development of theoretical research achievements have been pointed out. Firstly expounds the concept and highway transportation and transportation amount of regional economic growth and regional industrial structure adjustment, the regional productivity layout, urbanization and qualitative analysis of the regional economic development in highway transportation. It is the theoretical basis of the analysis of the contributions which done by the highway transportation for the development of Xianyang's economic.
