| The environment is varying quickly, and the firms find it's more difficult to survive and develop alone. So more and more firms become to join in the alliances. Many firms join in the alliances in order to master technique, enhance strength and keep their status in the market by learning from the alliances. However, the performance of the alliances is not very good. Many of alliances disassemble unexpected. As a result none of the partners gets what they want. Some researchers spent much time to find out why the alliances are not stable.The paper reviews the correlative theories on the alliance stability in the first place. After interpreting the definitions, such as strategic alliances, alliances stability and alliances instability, the paper summarizes the viewpoints of alliances instability and points out that this study is based on learning-race theory. Besides, the paper analyses the shortage of learning-race theory. There are two innovations in the paper. First the study develops the range of the firms's learning results in the alliances. The learning results is mastering the partners'knowledge in the learning-race theory .But the paper believes it should include the learning results of partners' knowledge, new knowledge after covenant and knowledge about administering alliances. Second, unlike the learning-race theory emphasizing the firms who win in the race paying more attention to the learning results of themselves, this study believes other firms also keep their eyes on their learning results which they may compare with the partners'. The firms may leave the alliances if they believe the learning results among the partners unbalances. The reasons why they leave may be the threatening such as cultivating competitors, losing core technology and unbalancing contribution. Therefore, the paper puts forward the hypothesis, that is the relationship between the different learning results and alliances stability is negative.The third part of the paper is the most important one. Based on Doz's classic model of the learning parts for alliances firms, the author extends the learning parts referring to other newly study results. The paper analyses the relationship between locally diversity learning results of alliances firms and alliance stability, which prepares for substantiating the hypothesis.Using SPSS, the paper analyses the data from firms and abstracts 5 elements composing the alliances firms learning results. Meanwhile, the paper gets the formula to account the numeric. By logistic regression the paper substantiates the hypothesis.What's the author gets is that the paper has a conclusion which is the more different among learning results of alliances firms the more instability to the alliances. And the conclusion enriches the learning-race theory. At last, the paper brings forward some advices to keep alliances in stabilization, such as selecting right partners, advocating interact studying and promoting by advanced managers .The paper also points out the farther study in the future. |
