Prophase Research On Implementing Good Agricultural Practice Of Tobacco Production In Jianning County

Jianning County is located in the northwest of Fujian, a maritime monsoon climate zone. This is a typical agricultural county that has good climate and fertile land, unique and superior natural environment that afforts abundant natural resources, property and forest resources, tourism resources, which provides a good foundation for devolement of GAP of flue-cured tobacco.The paper introduced the concept, background and ideas of GAP, recalling its development process and its application status at home and abroad, expatiating the meaning and importance of the implementation of GAP for tobacco production in the Jianning.The research follows a combination of theory and demonstration, analysed natural resources conditions for the development of tobacco in Jianning County's and socio-economic conditions, investigated tobacco production in Jianning County recent years,, analysesd tobacco production problems during the process of GAP implementation, adopting for corresponding measure and achieved initial results, namely (1) to strengthen infrastructure construction, reinforce the foundation for development and focus on strengthening the tobacco fields of infrastructure construction, standardization of construction barn, and standardization of the construction site; (2) to explore the land transfer mode, cultivating farmers professional team, implementing personalized service for farmers and classification management, and the establishment of specialized service system; (3) appropriate to popularization machinery for achievement efficiency gains by workers; (4) improving information management, enhancing the management level; (5) improvement of various technical measures, devising a quality brand. And it was put forward the basic idea to optimize further the GAP model.Since the tobacco companies implemented GAP, they adopt appropriate measures, worked carefully with remarkable results, and changed fundamentally the old tobacco production, management, purchase and quality monitoring model for many years, and started a new way to improve the quality of tobacco. The implementation of GAP is feasible for county requirements, effective high-quality tobacco production and management methods.It is a comprehensive systems engineering to construct GAP management model of flue-cured tobacco production, related field of which is excessive,involving a wide range. Although GAP management model of Tobacco Production in Jianning County has been constructed initially, there are still a lot of contents for further being researched and enriched, the system is to be perfected.
