Studies On Project Management In The Application Of Scientific Research Institutions

Scientific research institutions refer to the organizations engaged in scientific and technological research and application development. Scientific research is to explore the unknown world and to solve science and technology problems in national economy.Scientific research begins from setting research projects. Research projects are the main form of scientific research activities involvinging effective plan, organiztion, coordination and control by utilizing all kinds of knowledge, skill, tools and methods to realize the aims of the projects, and also. Modern society relies increasingly on the development of science and technology, and the investments to scientific research are also growing. As a result, the requirements on scientific research project management are also increasing. Scientific research institutions undertake national major, key projects, and these scientific research projects play an important role in the national economic development. Therefore, strengthening and improving the management of scientific research projects shows significance inincreasing the quality and the whole level of the scientific research projects.The present paper analyzed existing problems of the scientific research projects by introducing the knowledge of project management and project management in the scientific research institutions, provided with solutions, and set forth the necessity of introducing the idea of project management in scientific research projects. The applications of all fields of project management in the project management of scientific research institutions were introduced in this paper, the idea that the management in the field of after assessment should be strengthened was proposed too. Based on the above, the examples introduced the project management in Institute of Chemistry Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS). Firstly the ICCAS was described, then the profile of the projects undertaken by ICCAS was described and finally the project management process of ICCAS was described by the example of specific scientific research projects.
