Mineral resources are based of the development of the national economy, so the mining industry of the rapid development has made great contribution for China's economy. However, in the process of mining mineral resources, the mining system is usually destroyed, and the extraction efficiency is higher, the greater the threat on mine safety, With the increase in emergencies, mining system on all aspects is more fragile. How to implement positive and effective mine protection system on the development of the mining process, measure to avoid trigger the vulnerability, is to ensure sustainable development of mining system, and is the important task of our country. Experience has shown that through effective and rational study mining system vulnerability evaluation, is to enhance the safety of mining safety management, and safeguard social stability and effective way. Using reasonable evaluation model, getting accurate evaluation of the results, can foresee risk of hidden dangers in the mine system, giving preventive measures before danger. To improve the level of safety management in mining has an important role.Based on the domestic and foreign various security evaluation model, points out the advantages and disadvantages of various methods. For mining complex system components and subsystems have relations with cascading feature. First analyze the vulnerability of the mining system, applied catastrophe theory to find the conditions to stimulate the vulnerability in the hazard process. To look for the vulnerable source in the cause of accidents in mines, and for constructing a reasonable evaluation index system laid a solid foundation. When constructing the evaluation model, thinking about the several of vulnerability sources have not only the ambiguity and uncertainty but also the characteristics of sudden change. Combined catastrophe theory and fuzzy mathematics, established related evaluation model. Through analysis of an example, obtained the model is reasonable to mining system. Provided a strong basis to take effective measures on mining safety. Last, the activities of mining system vulnerable source not only has a negative effect on endanger system security, but also promote the positive development of the recovery of the mining system. So using Both-Branch Fuzzy Set improve and optimize the evaluation model further. Not only fundamental solute some of the defects of the evaluation model, but also develop the research space of mining system vulnerability assessment model. Example shows that the new model is more effective and rational. For the development of mining safety evaluation played an important role.In this paper, using fuzzy mathematical catastrophe theory and both-branch fuzzy set to establish a more rational, comprehensive evaluation model to improve the accuracy of mining system vulnerability assessment, to take effective measures to manage the foundation for mining safety.
