Research And Devolopment On Core Banking System

With the rapid devolopment of economy and the deepening reform of financial sectors in China, commercial banks are meeting the unprecedented opportunities for development, as well as the greater risks and challenges. Commercial banks will expand their business scale, provide better services to customers and increase their efficiency with business information systems. How to survive and develop in fierce market competition? Commercial banks need their own unified planning, business strategy for devolopment, effective cost control, so as to taking the advantages of information systems and sharing of resources. It also needs to support the sustainable development of commercial banks by establishing a stable and reliable IT environment on demand. Another devoloping direction of its current business is how to integrate multi-channel banking mode of operation, and make use of information technology tools to reduce operational costs, in addition to increase the commercial banks overall income. The project source of this paper is from the bank project of an information technology Co., Ltd. in Chongqing. This paper has studied on the core banking system structure in Chinese common commercial banks, and developed a customizd core business system which can meet the development needs of the bank in order to replace the old one.The main jobs and research-achievements are as follows:①Analyzing acurrent status of domestic banks in China, meeting the business needs for a bank in Chongqing, and the paper have given a practical solution for the research and development of its core banking system.②This paper researched the major relevant techniques and methods of the core banking system according to its characteristics, and gave both the design goals and design methods.③After the requirements analysis of core banking system, according to three-tier C/S architecture, this paper designed the system architecture as well as gave the Component-based development methodology and put them into practice.④It designed the overall functional structure of the system, and the overall function modules. In addition, the main function components of the system has been designed and achieved.⑤It described the hardware, software environment, the technology and the method of the system required to support the system implementation. Finally, it showed the operating results of the system.In the system implementation process, under the AIX operating system of the IBM mainframe, we use the Esql/C as the primary development language with the middleware layer based on C/S architecture, from requirements analysis to the design and implementation of business component, the component-based development method is applied to the entire system analysis, design and implementation process.The core banking system uses the Informix database as a background database system. Ultimately, the core banking system is realized.After system implementation, it has been put into operation in a bank. From the running situation, the system has made expected results: There is a unified management of the Bank's customer information. There achieved a "full line of an account" system and a unified accounting. The model of the component makes the ability of Submitting changing banking products become moreeffective. Its functions meet all current business needs of the bank.
