With the development of modern society and acceleration of life rhythm, employees and managers have to face the challenge of many mental health problems because of rival stress and unemployment crisis. It is a very important problem for corporations and human resource management how to safeguard employee's mental health and regulate employee's psychology and action. Employee assistance program prevailing in western corporations as a effective means to help employees solve mental health problems and help corporations decrease working risk and improve productivity, is focused on by scholar inland. It becomes an important means of modern human resource management. The stress of Retail Industry stands out in every industry, so employees need EAP to help them manage stress more. This article picks up S Corporation, H Supermarket and C stores in Henan province as investigation object, uses questionnaire and interview to study the necessity and feasibility of EAP in the Retail Industry of Henan, and puts forward the mode of establishing EAP.The following is the result of this article: According to the investigation of H Supermarket, S appliances and C stores, we obtained the employee's information like pressure sources, pressured reaction, service content, service means, willingness to use and so on. At last, the article gives the mode of building EAP.Innovations of the research: At present the studies of EAP is still in the initial stage. The literature about EAP Practice is very scarce, most of them are the brief translation of the overseas research; While the project of EAP is very scarce too, and the practice process is not standard. Owing to that situation, we started by the Pressure Investigation and EAP Needs Survey, collected and analysed the data carefully, finally established the mode of EAP. It enriches the localization research of EAP inland. In addition, most of the corporations which carried complete or partial EAP in China are intelligence or technology intensive industry, as for retail industry is basic blank. However, the retail industry plays an important role in national economy and the number of employees is numerous. The employee's performance is closely bound up with the development of the enterprise. Therefore this research also enriched the study of employee's pressure situation and mental health of retail industry.
