Domestic construction market is tending towards legislation and standardization step by step, as the establishing and improvement of market economy system of socialism in china. The competition is getting more and more severe due to foreign construction company entering into domestic construction market as china joining WTO and walking up to international construction market. It is the most important thing how the contractor can finish the project and earn more money. Especially, the difficulty is enlarged in metallurgy project because there are the crossover of multi-specialty, crossover of production and construction, tight project schedule, safety problems and the harm of coal gas. How to overcome these disadvantages to insure the accomplishment of the project on time and reaching the goals of cost? And how the private enterprise can carrying out project management in metallurgy project are topics of this thesis.Project management of Construction and Installation Company is analyzed, and problems of traditional management methods are found based on many projects of TongHua Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. Problems are solved by carrying out the method of project management. The following aspects are discussed in this thesis.The background and development trend of project management is discussed, and the method is found to solve the problems based on concrete problem of construction and Installation Company.Cost is decreased and resource is used reasonably by carrying out project management based on cold rolling mill project.Enterprise safety control is accomplished by employing OHSAS18001 occupation health management system.Project schedule control is an important index of judging whether the project goal is achieved or not. Project schedule goal is achieved by making project schedule plan and project network plan.The enterprise cost is balanced dynamiclly, the most benefit is gotten by limiting cost using method of analyzing the difference between budged cost and actual.Bussiness operation is better due to get more and more project by using different bidding method according characteristics of different company and project. The enterprise running risk is decreased, because The main problem of contract management is solved by enhanced contract management.
