Unconventionality energy such as Shale gas, Coal bed gas, Oil sand is coming in sight gradually, which hidden in the earth shallowly and exploited for short time. It is expensive and troublesome using conventional middle-deep rig. So, highly automated, easy to installing, moving fast is required. Through deep analysis of the market, we have designed the Hydraulic single trailer rig for the unconventional energy based on the modern technology of drilling.The Substructure is integrated in the trailer, which is easier to installing. New mast is designed which reduce the dead load of the rig. Because of the using of the lifting hydro-cylinder, there is no winch and travel block. Iron roughneck, hydraulic-directly drived TDS is designed for the rig, which increases the automation and vastly protect the safety of the workers. The strength and stability of the mast is calculated, and also the hydraulic system, the power of the whole system.The rig is manufactured by Sichuan HH company, and tested in August 2011. The rig is improved according the result of the test, and tested again in October 2012. The result makes clear that the rig needs smaller floor area, short installing time, operates simply, has high technology, and the hydraulic system operates stability, which meets the design requirement.The rig is the first single trailer device which powered by hydraulic and has self-intellectual property. Its performance has reached the level of the international advanced technique, which has well economic benefit and society benefit.
