As a coal mine power, our country’s safety situation of coal mine production is quite serious. Existing underground monitoring technology is not ideal, so it’s eager to improve coal mine safety monitoring level. In view of the underground special environment, a coal mine safety monitoring system based on WSN is put forward. The system is for real-time monitoring of underground environment parameters and personnel position, in purpose to reduce coal mine accidents.The main research works are as follows:(1)The whole scheme of the system are designed. Node layout is considered and CC2530+ CC2410 chips are used as the core of the hardware node in the underground ZigBee network. The main controller (coordinator) realizes communication with ground monitoring center by CAN bus.(2)An algorithm named adaptive-four nodes weighting positioning and its rapid positioning method is designed, through in-depth study of traditional RSSI model. The positioning method includes RSSI curve fitting, RSSI gaussian filtering, weighted centroid localization, etc.(3)The system hardware designs are about sensor modulation circuit, double power supply circuit, CAN connect circuite, explosion-proof design and testing, so as to ensure the nodes work in mine safety and stably.(4)The system sofewares are designs. IAR Embedded Workbench as under machine development environment is utilized to realize information collection and communication in underground ZigBee network. With Lab VIEW as the development interface of PC monitoring, the system realizes display, storage, playback of the gas, car-bon dioxide concentration, temperature and humidity etc.The monitoring platform also achieves early warning function, and enables the remote users to monitor the coal mine environment paramengts through web publishing.(5)The functions of system are tested-Environmental monitoring function was tested through a serial port connection finally. Results show that the system runs stable and reliable, continuing to monitor underground environment parameters effectively. Personnel localization algorithm simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can not only be adaptive and improve the positioning accuracy, but also has better location performance under the condition of same anchor node density.The system will be has certain reference value and prospect of development in the field of coal mine safety monitoring.
