In recent years, Chinese beverage industry faces a continuous increase on production and sales. And the competition in Chinese beverage industry is fierce. Beverage manufacturing enterprises in China need to built new factories or reconstruct the old ones to improve their competitiveness. For beverage manufacturing enterprises, reasonable facility layout can reduce unnecessary conveying cost and meanwhile provide more comfortable work environment for staff. Therefore, the research on facility layout design of beverage manufacturing enterprises is of great practical significance.Firstly, this paper analyzes the research status of facility layout problems and introduces the related theory of facility layout design. In this part, systematic layout planning method and simulated annealing algorithm are elaborated.Secondly, this paper analyzes the basic information of a beverage factory including its products, output, craft processes and main divisions. After the basic information analysis, this paper analyzes the mutual relations of facilities in the beverage factory, including logistic relation, non-logistic relation and comprehensive relation. This paper gets the logistic correlativity chart, non-logistic correlativity chart, comprehensive correlativity chart and the comprehensive degree of closeness of the facilities.Thirdly, this paper conducts the initial design of the beverage factory facility layout scheme according to the comprehensive relations. In this part, the facility location correlation chart, the facility area correlation chart and the initial general layout are drawn. After the completion of the initial design, this paper makes use of simulated annealing algorithm to optimize logistic-related facilities layout in the design. And this paper analyzes the optimized results according to practical limiting factors to choose the feasible scheme.Finally, this paper draws the optimized facility general layout of the beverage factory according to the adjusted optimized area correlation chart, practical limiting factors and the hygiene requirements of beverage processing plants. This paper evaluates the initial layout scheme and the optimized one according to their logistic-distance base curves and logistic fees. The result shows that the optimized facility layout scheme is more reasonable.
