The spiral bevel gear is an important basic part in the mechanical equipment field. With the research on the engagement principle of the spiral bevel gear and numerical control machining, the mature milling machine is developed. However, the equipment for machining spiral bevel gears mainly depends on importing. At present, the research on the cutter blade for the dry cutting of the spiral bevel gears is comparatively little. There is important significance to develop with independent intellectual property rights of the stick blade grinder software system in breaking the monopoly of foreign technology, reducing production costs, improving our level of equipment manufacturing industry. This dissertation focuses on Oerlikon spiral bevel gear cutting tool and researches on the software system of grinding machine.Firstly, analyze the relationship between the cutter parameters in the milling cutter frame and the blade coordinate system based on the design principle and machining method of cutter. Establish the mathematical model of the blade’s edge line. Analysis the stick blade shape and grinder structure, determine the machining method of the blade based on its features.Secondly, analyze the method of calculating the machining path of the cutting edge, the non-cutting edge and the rake face of the stick blade according to the machining method, establish the machining coordinate system and the machining coordinates of the cutter. Compile the cutter path calculation MACRO program and analyze the error compensation method of the wheel fillet.Thirdly, design machine tool software system structure according to machine tool use demand. Development of machine tool software system interface based on EHIM software. Realize the function of the detection, the parameters of the machine tool, the function of the parameters, the setting function of the parameters and the dressing function of the grinding wheel with the MACRO program.Finally, the simulation environment for blade grinder based on VERICUT is established. The MATLAB machining program output simulation G code. The simulation grinding experiment verification the correctness of the simulation and the calculation method. Make Oerlikon blade grinding experiments after debuging machine tool.
