The purpose of this thesis is to find a suitable way to architectural design through theresearch of essence of architectural design, way of thinking and specific process of designs.The author tries to provide a practical operative and applicable method to the members ofarchitectural design bias the systematic and structural working process of theory associatedwith practices; to some extent explore a more systematic and scientific thought to thearchitectural education; to provide a suitable method to the specialty teaching. As to the studyof this major, the thesis can guide the enlightenment of the major's "black box". The thesiscan help the first learner to see their way ahead and get in the field of architectural design asquick as possible.The thesis purifies a kind of method of architectural design-graphic design via theanalysis of the relationship of the three things---architectural design, thought and graphicanalysis. To speak more accurate the purpose is to find a more accurate instinct and scientificmethod of analysis of thinking on the base of the relative knowledge in the field ofarchitecture, use the thought of figure and via the tools of architect's graphic way.This is asort of way to generate the spirit of designs via the inter spurring of thought and figure, andwith the help of figure and graphic. The author tries to find the essence of architecturaldesign and less the gap of the theory and practice, thought and feeling, science and art.The thesis provides a concept of "graphic thought". That is to make the design morepractical and reliable, by the ability of visual; via the special architectural language model"figure and graphics" of architects.The thesis considers design as a process of to and fro, full of inter relationship, what'smore a way of gradually proceedings. It is a way from ignorance to knowledge, fromknowledge to intelligence.The thesis provides a concept of "initial promote". It considers that in the process ofdesign the designer always think the assumption of the answer to the design as the initialpoint; and later gradually improve the earlier assumption (or provide the new assumption),and finally get to the solution of the answer to designs.
