Nowadays, management information systems (MIS) of electric power enterprises mainly adopt Client/Database Server architecture and there are all sorts of drawbacks existing in these systems such as being hard to maintain and extend their functions and so on. With the further application of distributed technology, electric power enterprises have put forward the new demands to the management information system too. Therefore, the main purpose of my research is to make use of the most popular Windows DNA and COM+ components technologies to solve these problems, and at the same time, we will develop a set of distributed management information system based on Client/Middleware Server/ Database Server architecture for the distribution and electrification work of changsha electric power bureau.The study is focused on the distribution and electrification management information system of changsha electric power bureau, and carries on deeper research to Windows DNA and COM+ components technologies.Firstly, this thesis explains some relevant theories of management information system, and also indicates the characters and current situation of management information systems in our country's electric power enterprises at the present stage. Then, it respectively introduces some relevant theories and technologies that Windows DNA and COM+ contain, especially some applications of Windows DNA in the new generation management information system and the characters of COM+ components. And then, it tells the design process of the distribution and electrification work management information system of changsha electric power bureau in detail, including system analysis, division of the function modules and design of the database, and chooses file management systemę¢ subsystem of this system as the example to analyze the concrete realization course, and furthermore, this is the course that Windows DNA and COM + theories are combined with concrete demands too. Finally, we draw a conclusion that Windows DNA and COM+ technologies are the best scheme when we put up a distributedapplication software under the Windows platform by Comprehensive theoretical researches and practical applications, and indicate simply this system's application situation and the evaluating results by experts, and put forward the thought and prospect of distributed application system architecture in future on the basis of developing experience and the latest technology.When developing this system, We have chosen SQL Server 2000 as the database server and adopted Delphi 6.0 as the developing instruments of client and COM+ middleware, this thesis has done some introduction to these two instruments.
