In order to shorten the development period of automatic transmissions of automobiles and reduce the research cost, the paper regards AMT dynamic system of Steyr-King series heavy duty trucks of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd. (CNHTC) as the research background, and carries on modeling and emulation control analyzing of dynamic system. The paper validates the correctness and practicability of design parameters, and set up a set of virtual emulation system of AMT dynamic system based on above.At first, 3-dimensional model of AMT dynamic system in heavy duty trucks is set up using UG software, through the particular modeling analysis of AMT dynamic system and the relationships among components. Then the model is imported in ADAMS software, and added some restraints, and then it is carried on emulation analysis. Through the above work, the errors and shortages are found out and modified and corrected. At last, basing that the model is exact, the physical model is set up using MATLAB/Simulink module. The physical model and the geometrical model are combined and the co-simulation control analysis is carried on using the interface between ADAMS/Controls module and MATLAB/Simulink module in order to analyze and validate the practicability of design parameters of AMT dynamic system. And a set of virtual emulation control system, which is used to control on startup and gear-shifting of automobiles, is achieved in order to make power and fuel economy of automobiles reach optimum control.The 3-dimensional model and virtual emulation control system of AMT dynamic system in heavy duty trucks built in the paper is validated on Steyr-King series heavy duty trucks. The apply results indicates that the system provides a new strategy supporting rapid and low cost exploitation to AMT dynamic system of automobiles.
