With the rapid development of the economy, the traffic problems are more and more serious. Taxi is regarded as an important vehicle in city, and its management and dispatch will be confronted with increasing problems. The paper designs The Taxi Intelligent Dispatch System that adopts server middleware module in order to make the dispatch of taxi more convenient.Through the deep research on taxi trade and relative technologies of vehicle dispatch, the paper designs The Taxi Intelligent Dispatch System, which is based on GPS, GIS, GSM and GPRS. In Addition, this system has a successful combination of GSM and GPRS communications, which makes the vehicle system receive the data in both two kinds of styles. The system is based on C/S structure. A server middleware module is inserted in the system to accomplish the communication between the dispatch center and the vehicle-borne terminal. The vehicle information has a new and unified encapsulation by adopting the middleware. And a higher communication protocol is adopted between the middleware and the customer terminal. At the same time, the functions of the dispatch center's software are designed, such as navigation, tracking, remote controlling, thief alarm and so on, which promote the management efficiency. The system has advantage of huge capacity, low cost, high efficiency and precision.
