This paper develops a new type of Motor Malfunction Diagnose system withARM technology. The speed of decoding and reading for Malfunction code has beenimproved due to the special CPU with ARM920T kernel. We make the UI friendlyand operation flexible and convenient by using WinCE Operate System. Theapplication shows that this system runs stably and accurately. The technology andmethods adopted in the system are practical and worthy of using abroad.This article elaborate the design process of the malfunction instrument throughboth the hardware and the software aspects.On the hardware aspects, First introduced the platform structure of themalfunction instrument, and microprocessor S3C2410. Specify the process and themethod of the hardware platform building through demonstrating the kernel board andthe extend board electric circuit schematic diagram and the PCB charts.On the software aspects, introduced the software system structure of themalfunction instrument, the WINCE operating system as well as the CANcommunication protocols. Discussed the CAN receiving and dispatching principle.Specify the realization method of the CAN driver by use of the WINCE flow drivermodel. Finally elaborated the software and hardware debugging method, anddemonstrated the present achievement.Main achievements:1,The WINCE operating system can run successfully on the hardware platform.2,The serial port can communicate successfully.3,Complete the CAN driver design basically.
