In order to modernize Chinese National Defense Students (P.L.A) and adjust to international trend of educating military potential leaders, Jiang Zemin, the former President of P.R China, asserted that it's necessary to self-rely on the army as well as civilian in military potential leaders educating. The similar opinion was claimed by Hu Jintao, who attached importance on the way to merge military and civilian in military education, which is a China-specialized approach. It turns out to be a civilian-reliant way to enroll or recruit college students who are trained during undergraduate years prepared to join the army when graduating. It is a regular world-wide way to supply military officers. On one hand, a short time is it practice in China, however, it has been drafted into a successful pattern and moved a significant step. On the other, in lack of sufficient experience, there is still a visual gap between practice and the nation defense students'quality.The paper gave a multi-angle analysis on the educating system for national defense students and spotted existing problems. It investigated the facts with comprehensive methods including literature, questionnaire, the qualitative and quantitative method and analytic hierarchy process (AHP), and forged management and graduate education in the analysis. The paper threw light upon some suggestions on improving the cultivating method for national defense students. It is crucial to establish an evaluating system for them and refine the educating system. The paper is significant in that it is a good guidance for future practice.
