Floating population is a special group that appeared during the period of the mid-1980s in our country. Especially since 1990s, with the continuous increasing of the scale of floating population, the structure of floating population in our country has also changed greatly. One of the most remarkable changes is the floating pattern that has gradually changed from single personal floating to whole family's floating, which arises the problem of education for their children that the government and society pay close attention to at present. With the developed non-state-operated economy, Jinjiang city absorbs a large number of floating population, which has been attached great importance by the government to settle migrant children's education and also timely to give multi-channel creative solution to their schooling problems. However, due to the lack of systematic exploration to education of migrant children for quite a long time, there are still many problems faced with for Jinjiang government to improve the education quality of the migrant children and their comprehensive quality. Therefore, the paper takes the case of Jinjiang city and mainly uses literature analysis, questionnaire, case study method and interview to discuss these problems. With the combination of a survey on one migrant children's school and three public schools in Jinjiang city, this study reveals the school characteristics of migrant children and status of migrant children's education in Jinjiang city. What's more, this study refers to the main problems existing in education of migrant children, the causes of which from the aspects of household registration system, fund raising, school management and family education are also deeply analyzed. Accordingly, author presented some measures in this paper, for example, to change people's concepts that requires more attention to migrant children's education from both ideas and actions; secondly, to increase government investment in education, which promotes the balanced development of Jinjiang education; thirdly, to strengthen school management based on the characteristics of migrant children; fourthly, to update concepts and methods of parent education. Besides, to speed up the construction of public facilities and to strengthen community education are also conducive to solving problems. Through the collaboration and efforts of various departments, education of migrant children in Jinjiang will gain greater development in the future.
