Unlike the traditional education, education in the 21st century tends to develop in a multi-directional way. Among the teaching suggestions put forward by the English Curriculum Standards are two as follows:taking all students into consideration and laying a solid foundation for their overall lifelong development; showing great concern for students' emotion and creation a harmonious teaching atmosphere. Knowing well appreciation in teaching and putting it into practice effectively can not only improve the teaching quality validly but also exert an important influence on the physical and mental quality of the students.What this paper focuses on is how to use appreciation education and implement validly in English teaching in Junior Middle School. This paper is divided into six chapters. Chapter One is introduction. Chapter Two introduces appreciation education and relative theories. Chapter Three makes a general review of implementing appreciation education in Junior English Teaching. Chapter Four emphasizes appreciation education is used in class in junior middle school. Chapter Five explains the experiment in detail. The writer compares the control class with the experimental class through before and after being appreciated. Chapter Six is the conclusion of the thesis and reflection. The write hopes to confirm the feasibility of appreciation education and importance in practice through the application of appreciation education in English teaching in junior middle schools.
