At present, China's retired athletes are facing unprecedented pressure on employment. Due to difficulties in finding jobs, some retired athletes living in poverty, were included in the ranks of socially vulnerable groups. The employment status of retired athletes is directly related to social stability and the development of competitive sports as well as the construction of sports, so the context of building a socialist harmonious society, retired athletes, the problem of employment should be a concernIn this paper, literature, questionnaire surveys, expert interviews, mathematical statistics, contrast analysis, logic analysis research methods such as track and field athlete of Jilin Province in 2002, a retired athletes during the 2007 placement of the status of a survey of Jilin Province resettlement of retired track and field athletes found that the main problems of work: "Jilin mode" to a large extent facilitated the placement of retired athletes, but not fundamentally solve the resettlement of retired athletes difficult situation; money placed in Jilin Province, could not get the main source of economic underdevelopment of Jilin Province is a major agricultural province, financial institutions and sports organizations lack sufficient funds to make a fitting contrib on to the athletes of the reward. On the other hand, retired athletes have suffered sports juries are often hidden and long-term, which makes set off against the cash compensation method, and can not play a role in the protection of their lives; Jilin Province, has not addressed the employment of retired athletes specialized to guide or the corresponding government agencies, when it comes to employment of retired athletes do, we often occur buck-passing between various departments, to contain the situation and so on, and deal with the problems presented to address these deficiencies methods and strategies.
