A Research On The Construction Of The Specialization And Professionalization Of The Counselor's Contingent At Local Colleges

The construction of the counselor staff is an important part in a college work. There exist many problems in counselor's contingent construction in local institutions which directly affect the implementation of the ideological and political education work. Consequently, building up a group of professional and specialized counselors is of a great significance to promote the ideological and political education work and help it develop in a steady, healthy and sustainable direction.This thesis includes five parts:Chapter one is the introduction. It deals with the background and the significance of the research, the process and methods of the research, the present situation of domestic and foreign research and the defining of some key concepts of the research. Chapter two is the importance of the counselors' construction in local colleges. Chapter three is about the research on the undergoing counselors' construction in Dali University. Chapter four describes the problems of the counselors' construction at local colleges, and tries to analyze the reasons. Chapter five proposes some new ways to reinforce the professional and specialized work on the counselor's construction.The creative points of the thesis are listed as follows:(1) The scientific research methods:Based on the personal experience of being a counselor in Dali University and his long-term observation and analysis, the author comprehensively applies the principles on Ideological and Political Education, and multi-discipline knowledge such as Talent study, Management, and adopts the methods such as Questionnaire, Literature reading, Experience approach.(2) The substantial and concrete contents of research:With Dali University as the investigation and study basis, the thesis makes a research of and sums up the problems existed in the counselors' construction in local colleges. It also generalizes the present situation of poor specialization and low stability and analyzes the reasons that give rise to those problems. What's more, it proposes my original views on how to improve the whole quality of counselors'in local colleges, and on the connotation of counselors'professional and specializing development, and the required fundamental quality, knowledge, skills and professional ethics. All of these make the research results is not an abstract theory summarization but a scientific research with abundant materials and elaborate opinions.(3) The high pertinence and operability of the research:On the counselors' problems of poor specialization and low stability in local college, it brings up new ways to improve them. For example, to solve the source of professional counselors, it proposes to keep a mainly young teacher on counselor group and to create the professionally cultivated ways after they are on duty, and meanwhile to find an career path for them, bringing their positive factors on work.
