A Research On Construction Of Professionalization, Specialization And Expertise Of Chinese College Counselors

The establishment and implementation of college counselor system is a major feature of Chinese University Students work. At present, construction of college counselors is also a great concern of central theorists. A series of documents which issued by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council had pointed out that the construction of college counselors should be a long, basic and important work, and this work is a effective way to strengthen and improve ideological and moral education of university students and student affairs management.However, with the development of higher education and the changing social situation, the construction of college counselors suffered a lot of new challenges and it seemed incompatible. Different colleges found different ways to solve this problem. The author believes that building a professional, specialized, expert counselors team is the key to solving the problem.Based on extensive research and present situation, this paper analyzes the problem and reasons of construction of college counselors: In combining Chinese background and the successful experiences of foreign countries, this paper puts forward a way of construction of college counselors, i.e. professionalization, specialization and Expertise.This paper consists of five parts:The first part gives an overview of background meaning of building a professional, specialized, expert counselors team, and summarizes related research and introduces the research method and innovation.The second part makes a theoretical and practical study of building a professional, specialized, expert counselors team. This part defines related definition, and explored theoretical basis, and studied the problems and reasons of building a professional, specialized, expert counselors team. Definition and clarification of professionalization, specialization and Expertise are highlights of this paper.The third part introduces the student affairs management experience of American college, and sum up some good suggestions for the construction of Chinese college counselors.The fourth part points out the way to construct the Chinese college counselors. This part gradually and targeted put forward the solving way, and it is the focus of this paper.The last part is conclusion which is a summarization of this paper.
