University Students' Autonomy Under Professional Personnel Cultivation Project

In this study, we took the college students as the subject in the educational process and studied the status of student autonomy under the framework of the professional personnel cultivation project from the perspective of subjective college students.Firstly, we studied students'evaluation on autonomy towards the professional personnel cultivation project. The survey found that: under the current teaching and training system, the evaluation of independent and autonomy was low while the assessment of the satisfaction with meeting students'demand was high.Secondly, we studied the content of the autonomy demand. Survey showed that: for the courses greater related with profession, students tended to require more compulsory courses ,more course credits and selection in profession .On the other hand, for the course less related with profession, students tended to require less compulsory courses ,less course credits and cross-class, multi-disciplinary selection. Meanwhile, on practical aspects ,students focus autonomy considering authority guide.Thirdly, we studied the autonomy demand of different types students. Survey showed that: In the course system, boys, junior, liberal arts students, urban students, academic front and good learning attitude students tended to more elective courses compared to other students, showing a greater demand for autonomy. At the same time,on practice aspect, boys, seniors, rural students, engineering students, poor academic performance student and poor learning attitude students tended to choose less autonomous way.And then studied the autonomy orientation in the chosen destination in different aspects in the system.Survey showed that : students made selection mainly based on personal interests and hobbies, personal goals and personal view, showing a strong autonomy. Meanwhile, the better academic performance, the more serious attitude towards learning, the purpose of autonomy in the choice showed stronger tendency.
