In recent years, China's college graduates have been plagued by unemployment problem. The situation for youth of low employment and high unemployment is not in accordance with such a large-country identity as its economics developing rapidly, which has also created very big waste of human resources and educational resources. It is not enough to improve the employment that only employment policies from government, professional structural adjustment of educational institutions, and employment guidance for graduate. For students, these are only external environment that affect their employment, but the key is their own employment quality. So it is necessary to provide students scientific and effective vocational and career guidance. In China, the vocational guidance system for students is not yet on a sound, with a lot of problems. Based on introducing and researching the system of students vocational guidance of US, helping to improve our schools'work of vocational guidance is expected.This paper is divided into five chapters:ChapterⅠexplains the concept of vocational guidance, and gives a brief resume of the formation and development process of the vocational guidance system for students in US. ChapterⅡ,ⅢandⅣset out separately the three dimensions which stereoscopically constitute the students vocational guidance system in US:government, schools and society. ChapterⅤis on the inspiration and thinking to reform the work of vocational guidance of China by learning from US vocational guidance system.
