The highly competitive and fast-paced modern life has made teachers become the high-pressure groups. The teaching career has more sources of pressure, and the pressure is even greater. With the increasing proportion of one child family, the promotion of quality education, and implementation of new curriculum, the pressure of high school mathematics teachers is increasing rapidly, which has become the prominent issue with specialness. This problem needs to be solved immediately.In this thesis, the author use literature analysis, interviews, questionnaires and other methods to study and analyze the causes and specialness of high school mathematic teachers. The author will take the teachers in the four high schools in ShuLan, Jilin province. According to the data, the pressure of high school mathematics teacher is widespread. Ninety per cent of teachers indicated that they feel stressful with the strict evaluation and heavy workload. Other causes such as the indiscipline students, the low social status, and the difficulty to make further self-development have also bring heavy pressures to teachers. These pressures come from the education system, parents, schools and teachers themselves.After the study, the author get the conclusion that the particularity of mathematics teaching, of this subject itself, of the social environment are the roots which cause the pressures on teachers. The practical reasons are the stress come from the college entrance exam and the reform of high school education. The new curriculum reform and the reform of personnel system bring new pressures on teachers.With the heavy pressures that are so widely existed among teachers, measures should be taken to solve this problem. Otherwise, it will seriously affect the physical and mental health of teachers and ultimately impact the effect of teaching. In this paper, the author will introduce several methods to help teachers make the self-modulating, which includes:Have a correct understanding of pressures, and consolidate psychological quality; establish a positive psychological defense mechanism; be relaxed in psychology, and form a healthy lifestyle; learn to regulate mood reasonably; keep studying and enhance self-confident; establish and improve the supporting system from outside.
