In the fierce global competition, the key to enhancing corporate, regional and national comprehensive competitiveness is to rapidly develop technologies and products with independent intellectual property rights. However, with the rapid development of high technology, the blending of academic knowledge is more and more increasing; the periods of technology and product innovation become shorter and shorter; which complexity and integration are increasingly high. In order to cope with complex and changing environment for innovation, enterprises separately build the formation of R&D alliances for sharing knowledge and improving the innovation efficiency. R&D alliance enterprises lack of understanding on knowledge transfer process and its awareness of the risks, which leads to its instability and innovation inefficiencies. Thus, according to R&D alliance knowledge transfer process, characteristics and influence of factors, it is very significant to research and design a complete set of R&D alliance knowledge transfer risk identification, evaluation and control methods and strategies for enhancing the stability of R&D alliance, and improving the efficiency of innovation in the alliance enterprises.The dissertation uses the method of systematic analysis to elaborate on the relevant theory of the domestic and foreign knowledge transfer development and analyze its dynamic research. The following relevant concepts are defined, including the R&D alliances, R&D alliances knowledge, R&D alliances knowledge transfer and so on. The formation mechanism of R&D alliances knowledge transfer is deeply studied from the R&D knowledge stickiness, coalition of alliance partners and interaction between it and outside, which aims to propose risk types and factors of R&D alliance knowledge transfer and build risk assessment index system for identified R&D alliance knowledge transfer using of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. At the same time, risk-matrix method is applied to assess R&D alliance knowledge transference risk aiming to propose the corresponding control strategy and a case study is conducted. Based on it, taken the R&D alliances in NEC and SATO companies for example to conduct the positive analysis.
