In recent years, with the continuous improvement of management system in China's banking system, human resource management concepts have been widely accepted by many banks, while performance management is increasingly becoming the most important part of human resources management and development in banks. Effective performance evaluation is a key part of playing the role of banks in the human resources. Performance evaluation is the scientific, objective and fair evaluation made by different subjects to the operating results, management results and management level of different objects. It implies management philosophy and the rules, guidelines, standards of management behavior. Performance evaluation in the bank is not only the test and value judgment of operations, management and strategic implementation in the certain stage, while the system design itself reflects the bank's philosophy of operation and development in a particular period. A correct view of bank performance will be able to enhance the bank's core competitiveness, promote their survival and development.In this thesis, theoretical analysis and practice analysis are applied as a combined research method. First of all, the theory of performance management are outlined, the development process, current situation and trends of bank's performance management are analyzed. Then on the W branch of EB bank's performance evaluation system and the operation of the system has been systematically studied, a series of problems of its existing performance evaluation system are analyzed according to author's work experience in W branch of EB bank. Finally, the performance evaluation system of W branch of EB bank is re-designed based on the Balanced Scorecard tool that it has used, the Balanced Scorecard is extended to the staff at a personal level from the organizational level, and many reasonable suggestions and ideas are put forwarded for the continuous improvement of W branch of EB bank's performance evaluation system. The author hopes that this study will be a good reference to the constant improvement of EB bank's performance evaluation system.
