Regional Differences Of China's Industrial Competitiveness And Its Comparison

Market economy is competitive economy. In market economy, all enterprises, industries and regions face with competition both here and abroad. Since the different condition of location causes different comparative advantage, different strategy economic development, system innovation, industrial development, technological progress makes the different economic location and strength. And it causes the difference of regional industrial competitiveness. In order to improve economic location and strengthen industrial competitiveness, many countries and districts study on competitiveness. So the significance of research on regional industrial competitiveness is very important to promote our economic development.Because the differences of natural base, history, policy, population and labor force, investment, there is large regional differentiation between the east and the west of China. The differentiation appears as the differences of industrial structure, employment structure, market structure, labor productivity and resource utilization ratio in the industrial development progress. Then it appears as the difference lever of industrial competitiveness which brings about negative effect directly to international competitiveness of our country. Under this background, the research on industrial competitiveness has special significance. So in order to achieve regional harmony development, it is very important to scale industrial competitiveness in every region and find out the reason.After generalizing the theory and method on industrial competitiveness in and out of our country, we founded the systemic theory of industrial competitiveness, which includes the meaning of industrial competitiveness, the academic base, the model, the formation and so on. On the base of the former theory, we set up the evaluation index, method and procedure of the regional differentiation of industrial competitiveness, measuring the industrial competitiveness between different regions with factor analysis, and classified different industries into several categories. It shows the degree of industrial competitiveness. At the end of the paper, we explained the influencing factors of the regional differentiation of industrial competitiveness and gave suggestions to regional harmony development.
