The Performance Management is one of core issue of Human Resources (HR) Management. Through the process of better strengthen Performance management system, not only may better motivate staffs initiative, creativity, but more importantly, comprehensive performance management will provide a safeguard for strategy execution of an enterprise, and ultimately bring a higher competitive ability and the adaptiveness to the ever changing business world. Therefore, the Performance management issues should be taken serious by all levels of management team.The first chapter of Performance management outline its definition in term of performance, and its management as to its necessity and importance. The chapter also elaborate on the content, and role of performance management within the territories of human resources management and how it respond to the organization strategy.The second chapter further explain on the Performance appraisal and the Performance management theories. Chapter further discuss the difference and correlation, limitation of above in a systematic manner.The third chapter taken the case of A Corporation, who present some typical human resources management problem. By conduct the investigation and study needed, we hope to pin point the issue which enables the proposal of Performance management system can be properly implemented. The fourth chapter emphasis on the preparation process of performance management system for A Corporation. Which should include a post work analysis of each position, the establishment perfect post instruction booklet. Follow by lay down the principle and guide line for the foundation of Performance management system. Finally comes the performance management system design proposal, the paper unifies the enterprise the actual situation to design suits the Performance management plan which the enterprise will develop.The fifth chapter carries through an investigation and study of tobacco company A. Base on this realistic condition, we provide a comprehensive appraisal and summary to of the new Performance management system on this firm. Base on this performance management system, we provide management team with a constructive proposal base on the goal to bring benefits to the performance management aspect for A Corporation, and also set an industry reference for other companies who might be facing the same problem.
