It also accelerates the development of international trade and cross-border investment liberalization process and the rational allocation of resources. These, in turn, promote the continuous development of the world economy and trade. The development of world economy and trade greatly improve the development of transportation industry, especially the shipping industry. Under the continuous growth of the global economy and international trade, the hub port and feeder port gradually separate for the shipping companies gradually focus on a few ports. Each port makes the effort to expand market share so as to gain the hub or the regional center status. Competition among ports becomes more and more acute. The vigorous competition affects the port itself in the improvement of economic results. Although the growing demand will weaken this influence, but if the world economy experienced a recession, port will be impacted in various degrees.Through analysis of the domestic and international port cooperation, this text comes to the following conclusion: With the globalization of the world economy, the economic interdependence among countries greatly strengthens. In order to adapt to the demands of economic development, each port considers the regional cooperation of the port as its own development way. Beside the government's macro-control, enhancing communication among the ports is more important to realize the ports cooperation. Whether the port cooperation is successful is affected by the factors including the incomplete information, the port of asymmetry, market demand variability and the time value of the future profit etc. It means that: due to limited rationality and asymmetric information among ports, during the formation process of port cooperation, Game situation have been formed among port members which results in the "Prisoner's Dilemma" or enables ports cooperation to achieve "1+1>2" so as to get "win-win" among port members, which, to great extend, depends on considering the port cooperation reputation. Therefore, based on game theory and information economics theories, this paper theoretically analyses how to choose port competition or cooperation strategy with considering of the influence of port cooperation reputation. Then, this paper makes further study on revenue allocation of port cooperation. Finally the paper presents a few counter measures and suggestions about domestic port cooperation. |
