Study Of International Competitiveness Of Equipment Manufacturing Industry Of Hunan Province

In Hunan province, equipment manufacturing industry plays a decisive role in manufacturing industry, it is the most important pillar and the engine promoting the high-speed advancement of provincial economy. After more than 10 years of development, many technologies of Hunan equipment manufacturing industry have reached the world's advanced level. The enterprises join in international economic cooperation and competition more deeply relying on industrial advantages, and have formed a region center including Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan together with the unique star enterprises and brand-name enterprises with Zoomlion and Sany Heavy Industry Co., Ltd as representatives. It is now rising "the equipment manufacturing industry Xiangjun" in Hunan.The paper uses international competitiveness of Hunan equipment manufacturing industry as the research object, then constructs a composite model based on industrial organization (SCP) and the diamond system to study the impact factors and effect performance of international competitiveness. When study the impact factors of international competitiveness of Hunan equipment manufacturing industry, I start with each element of diamond system, then use factor analysis and get two main factors: the input-output factor and industrial waste factor, which effect the international competitiveness mostly. Lastly an order is ranked by the competitiveness index of equipment manufacturing industry. In examining the effect performance of Hunan equipment manufacturing industry, I choose three levels——economic efficiency,scientific&technological innovation and market share—with eight indicators, then start longitudinal comparison with time series and horizontal comparison with the country's average level. Furthermore, a comprehensive evaluation system is established to measure international competitiveness of Hunan equipment manufacturing industry. At last the conclusion is got that the international competitiveness of Hunan equipment manufacturing industry develops from weak to strong. By doing research in the impact factors and the effect performance, I try to get something about the current situation of Hunan equipment manufacturing industry, so as to provide the polices to improve the international competitiveness of Hunan equipment manufacturing industry.
