At the end of 2007, the State Counsel of China approved the "State Program for Nuclear Power Development from 2005 to 2020" (abbreviated as program hereafter), which symbolizing a new development phase of nuclear power in China.The program sets the target of nuclear power capacity reaching 40,000MWe in 2020, and 18,000MWe under preparation within 2020. The ratio of nuclear power capacity to the total will be increased from 2% to 4%, with the annual nuclear power generation around 260000MWe to 280000MWe.In the trend of fast development of nuclear power, human resource can be a key factor, and talent training is the core of human resource management. CG Group as a large scale state owned enterprise and a leading company in the industry, has always attached importance to the talent training, especially the special talents for the core positions. Facing difficulty of serious lacking special talents for nuclear power plant, CG Group has created a new mode of talent training, viz. joint training by the company and the universities. The students in the universities will be chosen to attend the joint training plan which will last 5-8 years, and will take the key position for nuclear power design, construction, and operation.The study object of the essay focuses on the new staff who just finished the joint training. Since 2005, the author has attended the whole process of the joint training and the recruiting of the graduates. With A large quantity of data on personal expectation and career expectation collected, the author provides proposals on the outstanding issues such as the career expectation difference between new staff and the company by using the questionnaire and data statistic results combing the theoretic analysis.At present, CG Group is making the human resource planning. The study of the essay is based on the new practice of career management by CG Group. The paper can be a important reference for the human resource management related policy drafting. It is expected to help promote the human resource management in the state owned nuclear power enterprises.
