Jiangsu Province Based On Dea Efficiency Of Technological Innovation

Technology innovation is the headspring of economic growth. The purpose of technology innovation is to improve the efficiency in production. The technology innovation efficiency is the main issue of technical innovation. Therefore, the study on technology innovation efficiency has far-researching theoretical and practiceal significance.The thesis makes empirical studies on the technology innovation efficiency about thirteen cities of Jiangsu Province, basing on Data Envelopment Analysis. The paper first defines the conception of technology innovation efficiency, and introduces the influencing factors and evaluation methods of technology innovation efficiency, specially emphasizes on discussing the applicability of DEA to technology innovation efficiency. From the input-output angle, the article constructs the evaluation index of technology innovation efficiency, concluding three inputting index and two outputting index. According to the non-Archimedes infinitely small C~2R model, using statistical data of Jiangsu Province in 2001-2005, the paper calculates technology innovation efficiency of thirteen cities. The empirical results show that the techonology innovation efficiency of the whole Jiangsu Province is not high. There are differences between the south and the middle and north area in Jiangsu. The differences also exist on the collocation of inputting resources and the turnout of outputting. The article puts the thirteen cities into three categories according to the twice DEA result. Finally, the paper proposes policies and suggestions of different areas in Jiangsu Province, to improve technology innovation efficiency.
