As an important module of human resource management, performance management is a key part that can guarantee the executive power and realize the strategic target of a company. Many existing problems in aspects of strategic and performance management of Y Company has caused bad effect of the overall operation of the company. Therefore, the paper intends to give a research on the construction of performance management system with KPI as the core for Y Company.Firstly, the paper introduces the theories and methods of performance and performance management, analyzes the advantages and disadvantages along with the application scope of these various methods, and sums up the developing tendency of performance management. The construction of performance management system is paying more and more attention to strategic orientation, and takes performance management as the important measure for strategic execution. In addition, the system is becoming increasingly systematic and the practice and application focuses more on techniques.Then, the paper has give an overall analysis on the present situation and existing problems, especially on the running condition related to performance management system of Y Company from aspects such as company developing strategies, business procedure, organization structure and human resource etc, and draws the conclusion that the problems of HG Company lie in aspects of strategic and performance management.The keystone of the paper is part the paper has put forward the designing plan about the construction of performance management system with stratagem as orientation, strategic execution as groundwork and KPI as the core to solve the problems of Y Company. In this part, the author has conducted a comprehensive research on the whole process about the designing of performance management system, schemes preferences, system appraisal and construction of Y Company, given a key description and comment on the performance planning process with relatively higher-degree technique, especially gives a detailed introduction on the construction system of KPI target grading system from the level of technical operation, and also created the "procedure-duty decomposing method" to ascertain KPI at the department rate.In addition, in order to avoid the negative affects produced by the familiar problems in performance management and existing problems found through performance investigation of Y Company, the paper introduces some basic work and some necessary security measures that should be conducted at various running stages in performance management of Y Company.Finally, the conclusion part of the paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the designed system along with its expected implementing effect, and hopes that Y Company can effectively carry out and continuously improve the performance management system and yield some elicitation and reference to other companies.
