The paper is a research on performance management of Changzhou branch of Z Bank. It uses the case analysis combined with performance management theory.Through analysis of performance management theory, this article divides performance management into six processes:framing performance plans, framing performance guidelines, process guidance, assessment of staff, evaluation of staff and performance feedback process. Then it analyzes the reasonableness, necessity, feasibility of performance management improvement of Changzhou Branch's based on management process.The study shows:there are some problems about performance management of Changzhou branch of Z bank. For example, there is still a lack of flexibility on performance plan, performance guidelines don't fit staff, performance counseling and communication system isn't systematic, evaluation and assessment indicators are imperfect, the content of performance feedback is not rich enough and so on; To improve Changzhou branch's performance management, at first, doing something in accordance with the Bank's various progressive elements, In addition, introducing the advanced computer processing systems, advanced the theory of systems and advanced treatment systems combine to promote Changzhou branch of Z bank performance management and cost control.This autuor hopes that the paper can provide some help to performance management of Changzhou branch of Z Bank, and also hope to give some suggestions for the study on banks'performance management.
