Simple Catgut Implantation At Acupoint Asthma Airway Inflammation In Rats And Nf-¦Êb And Icam-1 Expression

Objective: To investigate the effects of The simple catgut implantation at acupoint on the NF-κB,ICAM-1and inflammatory cells in bronchioles asthmatic rat. Methods: In experiment, we successed to copy the classical animal model of asthmatic rat, thity-two Wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups: normal control group, model group, dexamethasone group, the simple catgut implantation at acupoint group. The NF-κB and ICAM-1 levels in bronchioles of all groups were measured by immunohistochemistry. Result:①The symptoms of asthmatic attack was the obvious in the model group, Lung tissue paraffin section immunohistochemistry showed that the pigmenting of NF-κB and ICAM-1 in bronchioles were the strongest in model group;②Compared with model group,after the treatment of dexamethasone and the simple catgut implantation at acupoint,the above indices were improved, the pigmenting of NF-κB and ICAM-1 in bronchioles dropped obviously too.Conclusion: (1)The simple catgut implantation at acupoint can ameliorate the pathologic state of asthmatic rats.(2)The simple catgut implantation at acupoint can inhibit asthmatic airway inflammation, and its mechamism may be correlated with the inhibition of the activity of NF-κB in rats.(3)The simple catgut implantation at acupoint may alleviate the airway inflammation by down-regulating the expression level of ICAM-1 controlled by NF-κB.(4)Although therapeutic effect of the simple catgut implantation at acupoint therapy on asthmatic is worse than hormone therapy, it still has therapy meaning.
