Endophytes are referred to fungi colonizing in healthy plant tissues without causing overt symptoms in or apparent injury to the host.Research result in near years show that endophyte can produce some metabolites similar to those from the host plant.This feature could make endophyte a new resource which can produce some compounds with novel structure and specific bioactivity.For above reasons we selected Pinellia ternata as our original materials.The pharmacological activities of endophyte`s metabolites on antibiosis, antioxidation,anti-HBV,and antitumor were studied separately by the methods Sabouraudpastille,DPPH assay,ELISA and MTT assay.50 strains endophytes were isolated from the stem of Pinellia ternata,all the endophytes were fermented.And then the biological activities of the endophyte`s metabolites were assayed.The results shown that part of the endophyte`s metabolites have antioxidation activity.The IC50of the antioxidation activity of bc1401,bc 1601,bc 1501 were 1.8mg/mL,2mg/mL,5.9mg/mLAt the same time,we found that BX0302,BX1401,BX1601,BX1701 had some antibacterial activity on Staphylococcus aureus.BX1001,BX1601,BX1602, BX1501,BX2501,BX1902 have some antibacterial activity on Pseudomonas aeruginosa.But the metabolites had less antibiosis activity on Candida albicans.All the samples mentioned above had no effect on the hepatitis B virus.The antitumor study shown that all the samples have no effect on HepG2 cells.But some samples have inhibitory activities against Skov3 cells.The study above shown that endophyte was excellent resource which can produce new bioactivity.At the same time,the endophyte metabolites of Pinellia ternata have antioxidation activity as Pinellia ternata itself.
