Xi'an Conservatory Of Music Vocal Teaching Practice

National vocal music, which is an important part in vocal music, has always been the leading part in the teaching practice in all music universities. It is different from other traditional Chinese music forms like folk songs, rap and opera and so on. But it has been developed by inheriting and enhancing the finest part of the traditional music in china and drawing lessons from the western music theories and singing skills. It is a product combining the east and the west. This paper elaborates the history , teaching staffs of Xi An Academy of Music. Based on professor Meng Xiaoshi's teaching practice, this paper also introduces her teaching ideas, methodologies and teaching achievements. This paper also comes up with some opinions and suggestions for the teaching of national vocal music.
